My Blackberry went for a swim!

Don't we all love technology?   I know that my Blackberry is like another appendage, without it I am lost!Blackberry Curve

So when I saw it floating in my husbands glass of ice water, my heart sunk.  Now, of course I have my information backed up on my laptop, but now I am no longer mobile.

So I called Verizon and had them forward my calls to my home number, got out the hairdryer, took out the battery and started to pray!

The very kind lady at Verizon told me I was eligible for an upgrade.  YAHOO!!!  So if my phone didn't come back from the land of no return, I would be eligible for a new one (for a small fee of course).

So as I longingly looked at my phone on the counter, hoping that it would come back to life, I began to look at my other options. Now I LOVE my Blackberry, but I envy those who have the Apple iphone!

A friend of mine at work had upgraded to the Blackberry Storm and said she wasn't overly thrilled.  So now what?  Do I stick with the Blackberry Curve or upgrade?

Fortunately for me, my phone came back to life this morning, it is still damp but it is functioning.  I don't want to be rushed into a decision about such an important part of my body life!

If you have had this (or a similar) dilemma, please feel free to comment away, let me know what you decided on and if you are happy with it.

Cell Phone Numbers Go Public this month - proved false by Snopes.com

You may have seen this before:

REMINDER....  all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.

.... YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone:

 888-382-1222

It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS... It takes about 20 seconds.

Above is the website for the do not call.Snopes.com

You guessed it!  It got me too.  Thanks to a fellow Active  Rainer Alan May Coldwell Banker, Evanston, Realtor®   and www.snopes.com for setting me straight
